With Echo Envelope Developer Option. Exclusive to OEM’s. Available for purchase only through Airmar USA.
Airmar’s Smart sensors feature embedded microelectronics that process depth and temperature inside the sensor that can be instantly displayed on any device that accepts NMEA data. EchoRange technology transfers NMEA 0183 data in real time to a computer via the RS-422 standard. In addition to the bi-directional NMEA 0183 interface, a secondary transmit only interface with a proprietary protocol using RS485 is available to OEMs. The user can obtain detailed echo envelope data which may be displayed as an analog waveform. The echo envelope is a 900-point time-series of the echo amplitude. By analyzing the shape of the echo envelope, information indicative of the seafloor type is revealed.

Looking for Single frequency EchoRange Smart™ Sensor?
The U200 Gateway can interface with NMEA 2000® devices on a NMEA 2000 bus using a personal computer (PC). A simple plug-and-play installation allows GPS data, speed over ground (SOG), course over ground (COG), vessel heading, depth, speed, water temperature, weather data, and more to be displayed on your PC. Airmar’s WeatherCaster™ PC software comes standard with the U200 and acts as both a user interface to display the network data and also as a network analyzer tool. All NMEA 2000 network activity on the bus can be viewed and logged as needed.
When you want to connect an Airmar WeatherStation® Instrument to a PC and run Airmar's WeatherCaster™ software, a USB Converter provides a plug and play interface. The WeatherStation unit attaches to the Converter via a plug-in cable and a 1.8 m (6') USB lead, which then outputs data to the PC. The Converter also includes a 1.8 m (6') power cord for supplying 12 V power to the USB box and connected WeatherStation instrument.
