Application

What can I use magnetic sheet for?

Magnetic sheet attaches to any steel surface, such as a car or warehouse shelving. The material is flexible and allows for easy trimming, cutting, plotting or punching. The magnetic properties are retained. Because it is so easy to bend, it adheres to both flat and curved surfaces.
The magnetic side has a UV coating. This prevents scratches on the surface.
Magnetic sheet is suitable for digital printing and screen-printing. Optionally, a special topcoat makes the magnetic sheet writeable with chalk or a whiteboard pen, and is dry erasable.
 
Applications: graphic prints and in-store communication, wall coverings, stand construction, warehouse shelving, signage, magnetic advertising, POS materials, planning boards, technical and industrialëapplications.

What is magnetic sheet?

Magnetic sheet is made of magnetic powder, composite rubber and other materials.
Our magnetic sheet is free of hazardous chemicals or heavy metals. It complies with the EN71 standard and RoHS.
 
Extrusion, rolling or injection are processing techniques of rubber bonded magnetic powder. This creates soft, plastic-bound and flexible magnets such as magnetic sheet on a roll, magnetic strip in special shapes. The standard magnetic sheet colour is dark brown. If desired, a coloured top layer of vinyl, a sticker or another top layer is possible.

Storage and processing

How to store magnetic sheet

Store magnetic sheet in closed packaging, horizontally at a temperature between 10 and 30 °C. The humidity should be between 20% and 70%. Keep magnetic sheet out of direct sunlight.
Shelf life is 12 months.
 
The material can be rolled up at a temperature of 20 °C to a diameter of 12 mm without breaking. Always roll magnetic sheet with the coloured or adhesive side on the outside. This will prevent creasing and cracking in the top layer.
 
Process magnetic sheet at a temperature between 15 and 30 °C and humidity of 30% to 60%.
Process material in opened packaging within 1 month.
 
Magnetic sheet is easy to cut and punch with scissors, knife or cutting device.

Which magnetic sheet is suitable for car advertising?
A 0.8 mm thick magnetic sheet has sufficient adhesion for use on cars. Moreover, this material is very flexible for a good connection to a surface that is a little convex. All our foils are UV coated and do not scratch the surface, provided that they are applied on a clean and dry surface.
 
How do I clean magnetic sheet?
With a soft clean cloth and possibly water with detergent.
 
How much adhesive force does magnetic sheet have?
The strength of magnetic sheet is measured in a special test environment, perpendicular to the surface, with fixed factors such as steel thickness, steel grade and air gap. Thickness of the magnetic sheet, type of magnetic sheet, polarity and air gap are influencing factors. For technical and industrial applications, it is recommended to test the adhesive force.
